About Us

Since 1986, The Tiger's Tale has been a beloved fixture in the Montgomery community-a place where families and friends come together to enjoy great food, cold beer, and warm memories.

The story of our location goes back even further. The first tavern to open on Route 206 was called Black Bart's, back when Montgomery was still a quiet township surrounded by farms, hunting grounds, and winding country roads. Around 1980, brothers Joe and Dave Monier purchased Black Bart's and renamed it The Foolish Fox. They built the iconic 40-seat rectangular bar and introduced something new for the area-a grill right behind the bar!

Adrian Stevens and Cory Wingerter, who knew the Monier brothers from their days in Monmouth County, NJ, later purchased The Foolish Fox when Joe and Dave decided to sell. They renamed it The Tiger's Tale-and the rest, as they say, is history.

Today, The Tiger's Tale continues to be a gathering spot for good times and great food. Stop by and meet our friendly, talented staff. Whether you're here for a quick and satisfying business lunch, cocktails at the bar (featuring a great selection of craft beers), or a hearty, freshly prepared dinner with all the fixin's, we're always happy to serve you.

Be sure to check out our regular and catering menus, and don't miss our daily Blackboard Specials, posted right here on our website.
